Bowie Ball Photography

On April 16, 2016, The Green Room in Flagstaff hosted Bowie Ball: a tribute to the late David Bowie. There was live music, DJ sets, aerial performances, and a costume contest. With the many colorful personas Bowie became, I knew this would be a fantastic opportunity to see the people of Flagstaff as Bowie taught us to be: strange and beautiful. Here is a small collection of some of my favorite photographs from the night.

The costumes ranged from Ziggy Stardust to Thin White Duke.

This was my favorite costume. Reminded me of Cate Blanchett for some reason.

The Bowies were judged on a scale of 1 to 10.

I love this guy taking photos with an invisible camera. Wait, is he mocking me?

Conventionally, this would not be considered a very good photograph but I just love Deep-Space Dre, arms wide open and care free.
